Re: Help!!! Spark Plug!!

Have you overheated the engine b4? if so then you may have fused the threads from the head and the threads of the spark plug together, not a good thing.

Re: Help!!! Spark Plug!!

Or somone cross threaded the pluggs and JB welded them in. i would sugest trying some PB blaster aroung the base of the plugs, if that is of no avale take the head off and look to see if remnants of JB weld on the plug thread, a compression test should tell you if you got it hot enough to fuse the plugs to the head, the head will be warped or cracked, it takes lots of heat to fuse head to plug, if there are no signs of a blown gasket ie is it puffing white smoke, does it seam to loose its balls either in lower RPM or in higher RPM, or simply run rough, IE missing on one or more cylindar.

explanation short, soak them in PB blaster, try and loosen them if that doesnot work, take a socket that is just big enouth to go around the isolator, "the white part" and rest on the top of the metal, "where the scocket usualy grabs" and tap it GENTLY with a hammer, if it is coroded or torqued to tight, the slight vibrations will help loosen it, and let the penetrating oil into the threads, PB blaster will not harm your combustion chamber.

good luck, when you get them out use locktite anti siez on the threads, and only torque to specs,

that is not neccisarily true, the head does not have to be warped or cracked,
usually the head is intact without signs of distress
