my cabrio's radio just shut down!!

hi,

I own a 2001 vw cabrio glx and was wondering if anyone knew why it's radio would just shut down and not start up again. I checked the fuse and that's fine. Nothing is being displayed on the panel at all - not even the safe mode!! Plus the cd magazine sleeve isn't ejecting from the changer in the truck. Please let me know if you have any clue of what is going one. Thanks!!

There is a 10amp fuse on the back of the radio. Check and make sure that fuse is good.

Re: my cabrio's radio just shut down!!

The Monsoon head unit in my '01 Cabbie was also dead, all fuses good. I just replaced it with a Pioneer P-bus unit I've had for several years. Was even able to feed the speaker outs directly into the Monsoon amp with very little volume difference compared to the previous car in which I had the Pioneer installed. Now I just need a little more oomph...
