Car won't Start
Help, I own a 1986 Subaru XT, it has good compression, and Ice cold air, at least when it starts. Which was not an issue until yesterday. I checked the spark, and there is none. The timing belt is in tact, rotor spins, but no spark at coil. I tried a new coil, but that did not help.
I read somewhere, the problem may be the resistor thats extenal to the coil? where can I find it and what resistance should i measure at it? Please help. I live in Florida, and my alternate transportation has serious AC Problems that i will post at a later date. Thanks in advance, Bill, burning up in the Grand Am |

i know this is waaaaaaaaaaaay too late but i had a simialr problem with my 87 turbo
first of all it was a faulty alternator that was overchargin and it would start, although barely and ruined a battery and ran very badly then i had an alternator that was undercharging and ran the battery flat and wouldn't start then i fixed those and i had distributor problems the centre plug wasn't connected probably, it was simple and it took me ages to find it dunno if your prob is/was that simple though |
