A/C Woodpecker

Quick question, I don't use my A/C that often, but when I do, I hear a knocking noise that sounds like a woodpecker under my hood coming from the driver side. My '94 G never made this sound, is it normal all ya P11 owners?! :bandit:

Now that ain't right!

Your air conditioning compressor has an electronic clutch attached to your drive belts. First make sure that your drive belts are in good order- the extra load may be causing them to slip. If they are, then you'll have to get the compressor looked at.

Don't bother with main dealer. Any work on the airconditioning requires the system to be de-compressed, so it's better (and far cheaper) to find a local aircon expert. I suspect this is what the main dealer will do anyway (and add their comission on top).
