Out of all the things that could have happend

So im 19, graduated last year and I am taking my girlfriend to her prom tonight. I talked to my dad about possibly taking her in his 1967 RS/SS (Pace Car Replica, except the top is white instead of blue), suprisingly he said yes. I did an oil change to it, cleaned it up, replaced the air filter, and also topped up the P/S fluid and drove it to my house. I shut the car off and then it would wouldnt start again, wouldnt even roll over. So I put a booster pack on it and it starts, so I charge the battery overnight. Next morning the battery is sitting at 12.6 volts, normal enough. Run it and check and it sitting at 12.0, I have my girlfriend take it up to 2000 rpms and now its at 11.0, So the alternator, of all days, decided to take shit on the day im suppose to take her to prom. So I call my dad to get an ok to replace the Alternator, turns out that the alternator case has been modified to fit this particular car, so it has to be rebuilt, unfortunately ive never rebuilt an alternator, only replaced them and there is no place open on a saturday that could do a rebuild... so yeah sucks, so instead I cleaned up my camaro and am taking it instead... Bad luck I guess

I feel your pain. I would have loved to have a 67 Camaro to take to my Prom. Thats a hot car man.

What you need is that fusion reactor with 1.21 jiggawatts... that would fix your problem right there...lol

My town you're not allowed to drive yourself... limo'd that shit, i was in an escalade limo then a hummer limo

plus, I love driving in the city (new york city) but hate parking... so I would not have taken my car anyway.

Re: Out of all the things that could have happend

Manhatten has drop off lanes and they also have no parking on certain sides of the street on alternating days. When you think about how many taxi's they have picking up and dropping off people. It doesn't seem like much of a challenge.
