2003 Expo rear A/C problem....

The rear a/c was hissing so I took it to have it checked and was told that the rear expansion valve needed to be replaced which my better half did today, he recharged the system but it's still not blowing cold air. Any ideas what else could be going on? The front is blowing cold air just fine.
