2001 AC clutch kicks out when in gear
I have a 2001 8.1L Suburban. The AC works fine, but when I put it in gear the clutch kicks out, hence, no AC when going down the highway. Any suggestions? Mechanics here can't figure it out. Thanks, Windy

Have them run it for TSB recalls or PCM/VCM updates. Most of it is computer controlled so you will need someone with a good engine /body computer scanner to check and see what is going on. Also a good air cond forum link. http://www.autoacforum.com/ Good luck MT
