upgrading tires?????

I have a 2003 Silverado Z-71, and the factory tires are worn out. The OEM tires were 265/75-16. However I have a friend who has 255/70-16 on his truck. It is a 2002 Silverado 4x4 that is his stock tire size. Anyways he gets a lot better gas mileage than I do, and our driving habits are pretty close. Will my gas mileage go up by switching to the 255's?
