Hi-
I have a 2000 Ford Windstar SE, 42,500 mi. Just yesterday, my windshield wipers started malfunctioning. When I set the wiper switch to any of the delay settings, the wipers move about 1/4 of the way and then just stop. Every time I move the switch up by one, the wipers only move up about 2 in, then just stay stopped in the middle of the windshield. The low and high settings work fine, except that when I shut them off, the wipers stop wherever they were when I turned the switch off. I had a mechanic look at it who told me he thought it might be the switch, but he didn't want to do the work. Any ideas what this could be? PLEASE HELP!!!!

Re: 2000 Windstar SE- Wiper Problem!
It may be the switch, but I would first replace the two wiper relays that are in the battery fuse/relay box.
Refer to the owner's glove box manual. |
