Galant GSX project

I would just like to say, that so far, the engine is out of the Galant GSX and sitting in my garage. The wiring harness on the VR4 and downpipe are detached and it is almost ready to be pulled.

The interior has been swapped save the steering wheel, dash and front seats.

Tonight i'll get the knock sensor wired, and maybe tonight or tomorrow the car will be running.

Things left:
The rear diff needs exchanged, rear axles, driveshaft, swap the turbo engine in, wire the knock sensor, find a battery (dropped the last one and busted it), swap in the dash, then front seats, and start the thing up.

my friend told me it would take a whole day to swap the thing over too...

oh yeah, my garage is full of useless (to me) GGSX stuff, so whatever anyone wants to claim and pay for they are welcome to. Also a few things off the GVR4 are available. If no one speaks up, stuff goes in the trash.

Re: Galant GSX project

Nice to see its coming along. I've read your other posts about you doing this but just had not yet responded until now. Have you thought about putting this in the "project car" forum located in the racing section? (I think you have to click on the SR section and then at the top it tells about it). So what kind of numbers are you looking to get out this? Well, best of luck and I hope things go over well.

Re: Galant GSX project

nope, i'll do that when it is finished and i have more complete pictures. i was kinda hoping galant guys would throw in a few cents.

I'd really like low 12's, but that won't be until at least next summer. evo3 setup, meth injection, freaking awesome tune, evo8 fmic

Soon as it is swapped, prolly high to mid 14's though.

Got the dash out... it's not that hard, but i wouldn't suggest anyone removing the dash by themselves. I ripped the firstone out i pulled out of the GSX ...
