stock sub with aftermarket amp

hey guys.. i am going to try and run the factory sub with a punch 100 amp. i will eventually change the sub too, but think it will also be 8" (love the trunk space) i have a few questions. first off, has anyone found an existing remote wire that can be used? al;so, if i am using the high level input on my amp, will using the aplified signal from the factroy amp be suitable? thanks for all the help
