shakes in reverse

1991 Jetta, auto. 140k

although the idle isn't exactly smooth.. it is the same/normal
when the car is in P,N,D... but when the car is put into Reverse,
it shakes pretty bad if its idling... any ideas? thanks!

engine mounts?? Have you checked that!! If this is not the cause it could be a pressure leak on the tranny.
