New Local GTR here in SD

Hello all,

It's been a long time. A close friend asked me to stop in as he had something to show me and guess what. This is GTR-19 (?) that was raced as the SOK livery in Japan. He re-liveried it himself. He wouldn't let me open the engine compartment to verify what chassis this is but I will get that info soon.

Enjoy and I hope that all is well with all of you and I will try to stop in more often. I am hoping to meet with the owner and give this a test drive myself! I will definately have an update when that happens! Sorry, name of the owner is witheld at his request.

WFG!

Re: New Local GTR here in SD

Nice to see you back.

The car is GTR #19R - the first of the longtail GTRs. We've discussed the car in here multiple times since it arrived in the USA, most recently in this thread:

Look what got out to get some fresh air...

Unless the car has changed hands recently, the owner's name should be Kevin Crowder.

Glad to hear that you got to see it up close.

Should have known you'd be up on this big E, with the owner as well. He also has a beautiful Ferrari p3 there as well!

Damnit, if there's one F1 I'd take over all the others this would be it. I'm nearly tempted to burn the cash to fly out to CA this weekend in search of F1s.

Wow

That livery is great, probably the best.

Is that car still maintained by Hudson Historics?
I saw it at Watkins Glen in 04, I'm hoping it re-appears this year and actually hits the track.

Hey SD F1, Are the original pictures 640 x 480 ? Or are they larger? Image station apparently won't let me look at the original pictures, unless I become a "premium member".

I only had my camera phone with me so I really don't know what size they are. PM me your email and I will send you the originals.

Re: New Local GTR here in SD

Thanks, I sent you a PM.

I also noticed that I can't look at the originals of the photos I uploaded myself on image station. I used to be able to do that. You would think that they would at least let you look at your own photos in their original size for free.
