Does anyone know what would cause the rear A/C to blow warm to barely cool air. The front A/C blows cold. The compressor has a full charge. I think it might be a clogged orafice tube filter but I have no idea where it would be located for the rear air. Could anyone please let me know if my assumption is correct or if there is something else I should check. Thanks

Re: 97 Suburban Rear A/C not cool
Probably the rear expansion valve.
Look here: http://www.acsource.net/acforum/ and use this as your search parameters: suburban and expansion and valve |

Re: 97 Suburban Rear A/C not cool
Where is the expansion valve located on a 96 suburban and do I need to discharge the system before replacing it?

Re: 97 Suburban Rear A/C not cool
Look at figaros post for his 99. It appears that even if your pressures are good you still may not have enough volume of freon to satisfy both systems. I added two cans to my 99 and my bro-in-laws 96 and they both started blowing colder in the front. I have since lost some of my coldness. Now I have to look for a leak. Hope this helps.
