where could i find the ecu fuse to see if it's blown?

i tried looking under the hood fuse box and under the dash fuse box and can't fine the ecu fuse. where is it?

Not exactly sure on your year, but typically it's located in the engine bay fuse box. In the upper left there is a 15A blue fuse usually labeled as "ECM." That's the fuse your looking for.

i finally found it. it wasn't labeled ecu or ecm fuse at all. it said back up fuse/radio... and there was a 10 amp fuse in there. it's supposed to be a 7.5 amp fuse in there. so i took it out and put in a 7.5 and hopefully it will allow me to pass the smog check. does it damage the ecm if there is a 10amp fuse in a 7.5 amp socket?
