4 Seater CRX! Who'da Thunk It?

Did you guys know that some of the jdm crx's had rear seats? You guys probly did, but i didnt, just read it in a sport compact or something, dont remember. Anywho, anybody got any pics on what that looks like? Do you guys think putting a 2 x 4 back there and some nylon rope for a seatbelt will be just as good? How bout if I spray paint the 2 x 4? :frog:

I knew that!
You could get some peices of wood and cover it with some padding and then with some vynil of your choice of color! cut out some holes in wood for the seatbelts, get some seatbelts from the junkyard from anycar basically and bolt it to something under the new seat, (perferably the floor), cover it all up in vynil and it will look fresh!!! I have done this in my crx, it looks real good but sometimes it just looks ghetto, i'm actually thinking about going back to the stock no back seat! let me know how it works out!!!

The seats don't meet safety regulations in a number of countries, that's why the CRX is usually a 2 seater. Not to mention that they are tiny and uncomfortable

BTW - I think all JDM CRXs had the rear seat didn't they?

Ebay always has a couple of the JDM back seats for sale, but they go for like $300.

In here all CRXes(88-91') has back seats, but in the back is so little place that I never saw noone siting there and if your a little taller there is no way that you'll sit in the back, if your normal size you can sit but not normal you must site that way that you have legs on sit too...

Those sits are just to put on some sport bag(not too big one) and some little stuff

It's a well known fact that some of the JDM CRXs came with a back seat. But there is practically no room for your feet back there.

slammed89civic - You said that you drove a JDM CRX?? Was it a right hand drive? Cause if not, then the CRX just had a JDM rear seat installed.
