HP on 302 engine.
Hello Fellas. I'm new to this. Anyhow, I have mustang 67 coupe. The engine came with the C-4 tranny and a 289. 2 barrel carb. The engine wasnt running all that well. there was soome kind of fuel problem. So i decided to get it rebuilt. the block will be turned into a 302, it will have performance lifters and and RV cam. i also bought a performer intake (edelbrock) and a 600 mfc 4 Barrel carb (edelbrock) how much HP do you guys think i will get? Also i know that with imports Rear whell drive cars they sell LSD. Does my mustang come with one stock?

Re: HP on 302 engine.
How do you plan on turning a 289 into a 302? True they are both windsor style blocks but they are no the same block. Just because you can bore/stroke a small block out to big block cubes does not make it a big block.
What are the specs on the cam? Lift, duration @ .050, LSA? Are you useing stock '67 289 heads? With a small cam, stock heads, small intake, and 4bbl carb I say you might make 225-230fwhp. For the most part the windsor style motors are easy to open up and unleash all kinds of power. But it can get expensive.

Re: HP on 302 engine.
I think he means that he is just boring and maybe stroking. The heads will interchange.
On the horsepower, that depend on tuning. You will need to get your timing and a/f ratio right. Also, the RV cam is good for low end grunt, but not high end hp. you may just want to go with a mild duration/lift off the shelf Comp Cams profile. Expect between 225 and 275 on what you described.
