"Guilty" isn't a strong enough phrase to encompass Enron's crimes.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060525/...on_trial_dc_26
All I can say in regards to Lay and Skilling receiving a guilty verdict, is CHOKE ON THAT YOU SCUMBAGS!!! Now if only there was some way a case could be made against the numerous investment/banking firms that allowed this to go on (although, they're still not out of the woods, since there are a lot of lawsuits to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars -- and these financial firms are going to end up footing a chunk of the bill, since there's no way Enron as it exists now could ever settle these suits.) I'd also like to see many of the traders that worked for the company punished in one way or another (if you've watched the Enron movie, you've heard the conversations those asshats were having during work about the wildfires and screwing over citizens at the mercy of Enron energy prices.) "Deregulation is a good thing!" My ass it is.

Take the two of them out into a field and give them 9mm of deregulation to the back of the head. It won't help fix the tangled web of **** that they left behind but it would probably make all those now sitting on worthless retirement accounts they were depending on feel better.

Deregulation *is* a good thing. They fucked people over with it, but deregulation wan't at fault.
I hope they rot for years in prison and I hope they aren't left with a dime when they get out.

Too bad they'll get sent to a wealthy mans prison paradise. They should get raped in the ass by Bubba, just like they raped all their employees and shareholders who lost their entire lifes worth of retirement.
