ignition lines on Yamaha R1

hi
I'm building a scale model of a Yamaha R1 -98 but it hasn't got any ignition lines from the spark plugs. Does anyone here know where they would go if they were there? I guess they go into some box somewere but were exactly is that located? Any help would be must appreciated
best regards
Joel

Re: ignition lines on Yamaha R1

Not sure on that bike, but in general ignition wires are run the shortest distance possible (because resistance increases with length of wire), and so the coils are generally mounted under the tank somewhere just above the engine. So the wires would come off the head, pair up and run up towrds the gas tank, and disappear under it.

Re: ignition lines on Yamaha R1

I looked through the PDF manuals, and the coil is mounted on a plate between the upper frame spars, directly above the engine cylinder head....
