Thumbs down U-haul Sucks Dirty Dognuts!!!!!!

oh yeah. They are a bunch of complete morons. Yes morons. You have you have an I.Q. lower than 65 to work there, its mandatory. And whoever degined the webpage should be shot. in the head. with a .44.

First i went online to see how much it would cost to use a tow dolly to tow my car. Well, they cross reference the car hauling, to car to be hauled, and the type of hitch to be used. According to online, it was fine. I went to my local UWhore and they booked me a dolly. Well i get a call the next day with them telling me that i can't do it, my hitch AND truck isnt rated for it. So to make a fooking long story short, they put in on a wild goose chase to different UWhore's around teh county with some guys telling me that i can, others that i cant. Well now i have to fooking illegaly drive the car for 8 hours across 3 states. Great huh. Thanks U-Whore.

NEVER use U-Whore. Their trucks are pieces of shit. one of my freinds was low 6 quarts of oil... yeah

grr

My aunt and cousin were given a fairly sizable moving truck this past January that had NO HEAT!!! They parked it back-end right up against their door and walked over to a near-by hotel... The idiots didn't even seem to realize that they had parked it there on purpose (as this was the 3rd truck they had been given after one overheated and another one had some other fault with it). They were all like "Um, Ma'am. It seems you parked infront of our doors. Could you perhaps move it so we can open?"

So yeah, they aren't the brightest crayons in the box. Just know you're not alone!

Best of luck in making it home safely!

U-haul is a fucked up operation. Their equipment is poorly maintained and how they figure out their pricing is known only to the airline industry.

yeah U-haul does suck. i remember when i was younger when my family was moving out of mattapan to randolph. we called u-haul the week before, and we booked a truck. when we got there, THERE WERE NO TRUCKS THERE!...we had to wait for a couple of hours for another truck to come along.....and it was a small truck...we ordered a medium sized one....by that time we didn't care we just wanted to get the hell out of there...to this day...we use Ryder

Uhaul's horrible. That's putting it bluntly. A few members of my family have been screwed by uhaul by giving them trucks that are poorly maintained and ones that actually broke down on the road. Very little room and very little room to relax in the cab. Hell i'll probably use my own car, or use someone's truck to move my stuff if I ever move :grey:

Well, it would be nice if their on line system worked properly and gave you accurate info.

But, realistically, they stopped you from doing something DANGEROUS and you blame them for that?
Would it be better if they let you have a massive accident because you did not know what you are doing?
If they didn't rent the dolly to you its because there is a good reason. Thank them. Using tow dollys is dangerous, because they usually have poor or no brakes. A car on a dolly is more dangerous than a normal trailer and you need a decent, full size truck to tow this.
IMHO if you have towed with dollys before, likely you would understand and you wouldn't complain.

The problem isn't that they didn't have a tow dolly rated for his truck, the problem is the site DID say it was rated but it was apparently wrong. So instead of allowing Steel the time to find another tow dolly rental, he didn't find out about the error until the day of.
