Fuel delivery issue

'92 Jimmy with 4.3 CPI automatic transmission does not want to run. The truck has about 153000 miles. This morning the vehicle started fine, idled fine and ran fine until it warmed up. At that point it started missing and acting fuel starved. The vehicle stalled about two blocks from my home. I was able to get it started and get it home. To get it started I had to push the accelerator to floor. I can hear the fuel pump power up when I turn on the ignition switch. About one week ago it started running a little rough at idle. I thought I had some bad gas because it cleared up when I gave it a dose of sea foam. I'm sure tired of spending money on the old girl. Does anybody have any ideas. Any advice and direction will be greatly appreciated.

Addendum: I started the vehicle after letting it cool down. It seems to idle fine when started cold. I also reved the engine a bit with no problems at all. This seems to be an issue that manifests itself after reaching operating temperature.

Re: Fuel delivery issue

Check you're fuel pressure 1st...

Then

Pull the upper plenum and look for signs of washing (where one side is cleaner than the other) If the passenger side is washed, it's your CPI unit, if your driver's side is washed, you have a bad nut kit...Replace the nutkit anyway if you replace the CPI so you don'thave to pull it later... Some will tell you to pull the throttel vane and look down into the plenum, but that's not often accurate for the signs of washing...Do it right and pull the plenum.

Re: Fuel delivery issue

Thank you for the reply. I will let you know what I find. The engine in this truck is still very strong. I do not want to give up on it yet.
