Tie rod end replacement

Ok so i'm about to order both inner and outer tie rod ends for my 89 STD hatch. I went under my car and saw that the outer ends look easy to replace, the inner ends look a bit harder. Do i have to take off the rack and pinion boots? How do i take the boots off? Can i reuse them? How do the inner ends install? Can someone please give me a step by step tie rod installation? Also is an alignment necessary for just renewing my steering rack? Thanks

Re: Tie rod end replacement

i am not sure how to change the inners but maybe it would bee a good time to change the whole rack and pinion(if the milage is high) its not a huge deal and the inners come with it. my 2 cents
