when I go to start my car the temperature gauge and sometimes the speedometer go to the maximum positions and stay there. other times nothing will happen. and somrtimes the ac will be on even though I would turn it off just before trying to restart it again. the end result is the car won't start and it seems like the computer is being reset. also the AC is a computer and not dials

you may have a battery issue. have it load-tested. I've seen weird guage problems when the battery is on it's way out.

I had similar problems and my battery was on the way out. I bought a yellow top optima and it hasn't happened since.
