02 Galant Drop Kit

I recently got an ajustable drop kit for my car for free. 2 people have told me that they eventually destroy the struts. And someone else said they juss make them wear out faster. What is the real truth? Id like to lower my car but dont have the money to buy a full kit. Thanks to anyone who can help me out.

Re: 02 Galant Drop Kit

well, if you don't feel like doing it right the first time are you really going to want to have that work done again? if you dont' have the money you might as well cut the springs and avoid using an actual product altogeter.

Springs and Struts go hand in hand, if you do springs before you do struts, the struts will blow, it is only a matter of time, and especially if you are in an area with relatively bad roads. Save your money, get some struts, i would try www.club3g.com under the "group buy" section. there should be some cheap KYB AGX/ GR2 struts available there.

i'm pretty sure the 3g's and the 8g galant are the same for the most part... you may want to ask though
