Scan Tool Readings?

Hi All,

I just purchased an Actron CP9110 obd1 scan tool and I need some help in deciphering the data stream. First of all where can I get any info about learning the correlation between what I am reading and what these values should be for my application (94 Cavalier RS 2.2). And If they dont jive, how to correct them. some of them such as (Quad Drivers 1-4). 1 of mine always seems to fail, No codes, Why? The next one seems self expanitory, (Low Oil) The book says that the readings should be on or off, My readings are yes or no.( And I cant get a direct definition from Actron) Which it also shows yes. I know for a fact that my oil is not low, my oil pressure seems to be in spec range. The only thing about this is I can think is I switched out my instrument cluster, On the one I have in it has no oil light, It has the gauge instead. Is it possible that it isnt seeing the gauge and sets it? (KS Counter) I understand what it does but should my car knock, I cant hear it knock? Why? ( Inj PW) what should those numbers be on my car, and Why? (MapV and MapHG) Again what are they supposed to be and Why are they that way? (BaroV and BaroHG) Same questions? (AF/Des) Ideal number should be 14.7. Mine goes up and down, should it? What is it supposed to be doing and why. There are others, LT Fuel Trims, Iac Pos, Tcc,etc... I know I ask alot of questions especially when I have no codes that are set. Its just that I would like to learn the hows and whys of this type of information. A HAYNES MANUAL just doesnt have the type of info that I am looking for. I know that there is automotive software out there for around $100 or more. Does anyone have any experience with this. How about AllData the internet based automotive type data? I wrote them and asked them, No Response. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
Thanks Tom
