2.5 to 2.3 engine swap?!

Hi, I have a 98 ford ranger with the 2.5l 4 cylinder engine. It's got over 150,000 miles on it. It still runs amazing cause it's all highway miles but I wanna do an engine swap.

I wanna swap it for the 2.3 but I don't want to replace my transmission. Will any of the 2.3l engines fit my 2.5l transmission?, perferably like the 2001 2.3 or the 2005 2.3?

And if it's possible what else will I need for the engine to work properly? Everythign comes onthe engine already...I don't get things like the computer tho. Wondering if my 2.5 computer will work for my 2.3 as well?
