engine knock

there is a loud knock from the engine but only at idle. give it a little throttle and it totaly goes away. its the 2.4 dual over head cam engine. help.

Could you give us a better location as to where you hear the knock coming from. This could be a problem with the harmonic balancer or an internal engine issue. But without more information it is hard to tell.
