Question engine swap

i have a 83' hatch back. i was wandering can i take the 305 " which i love" out and put it in a ford ranger? the front end of the car is smashed. i know i want to keep the engine but i dont know what to put it in. any ideas. and what will i need to do this ???????????????

Well someone once told me, "you can put any engine in any car", and the guy who told me that is a respectable mechanic, I don't know if its true, but i'm, sure you could get that engine in yur ford, might take alot of work though...

You could, but you shound probably get a 302 instead of the 305

You will need some experiance.

Achevy 305? or a 302 bored over?

Yes it will fit, but you will need to upgrade your suspension, chnage motor mounts, hang the new exaust, up grade your radiator, tranny might be a pain, etc.

i have an 83 ford ranger and i found an 1967 ford galaxy 500 witha 390 in it so i took the 390 and trany and i am going to put it in my ford ranger but i was wondering if it would hurt my frame if i welded it into my truck. but i dont know if i want to rebuilld it or what i should do first but already hade the engine sitting down in there and it fits.:

you can fit any engine in to any car boys up in saskatoon (SK Canada) there is a chevette with a 502 that makes stright runs all you need is a big hammer or cutting torch at times and pateince
