Ascendant or alpine

Ok i have an alpine type-r i got for free from a freind im looking around for another from the same year so i can put them in my blazer. The box is about 1.75x2 sealed that i made for the back. Im wondering if anyone knows what would sound better and get deeper either the alpine type-r or what series from ascendant. Let alone any subs from other companies, i didnt want to build a specific ported box so i made a sealed so i could change out later.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

Re: Ascendant or alpine

a pair of aresenal 12's would kick ass in that enclosue. And you wouldnt be on the ARRRGGG band wagon. If you have the money go for the Aersenal and sell the Type ARRRGGGG.

aresenal is probbaly more efficent too

You think about 300-500 watts would be enough for each one. Its going to be a somewhat show truck and i want to kick ass at the sound offs they sometimes have. If i dont use the type-r for this setup i need something somewhat light weight for my accord.

Re: Ascendant or alpine

Aersenals are about 20lbs i think. 500w each should be nice. Other than that the only thing i could reccomend would be RL-P 12's.
