96 Jetta blinkers stop working when I step on the brake
My blinkers are weird I have a 96 Jetta. The left blinker works fine the right blinker comes on once then stops. But the weird thing is when I put on the brakes neither blinker will blink and the arrows both light up. It is dim but they do light up only when on the brakes. Another thing is that the flashers only work when the car is running and the flashers also do not work at all if my foot is on the brake. I know that this is some kind of bad ground but I dont know where to even start to look for the problem or if I can bypass the problem and hook up a different ground. any help with this would be great thanks

Re: blinkers stop working when i step on the brake
I don't know if you found the answer to your problem but mine did the same thing. I had put the wrong bulb in the blinker. When I replace the bulb with the correct one it worked fine. Hope this helps.
