mitsu stock deck code..?
So, I had a nice clarion deck in my '00 Eclipse RS, but that shit got stolen 6 months ago. I want to put my stock deck back in, but I bought my car used, and I never got the security code for my deck. Is there anyway to by pass it or otherwise get it to work? (with out having to go to the dealer..)

Re: mitsu stock deck code..?
Well, the dealership will try to charge you $70 for it. You basically have 2 options.
1 check the back of hte stock radio, and get the serial number, write it down, along with your VIN. Then call the local dealerships, and tell them you have the serial code and VIN, and are wondering if they can look up the code over the phone. Some will do it, some will make you bring the car in, just to prove you own it, and some will flat out not help unless they can charge you money. So if you cannot get a local dealership to help for free.... 2. Post in the eclipse section, and possibly in other Mitsu sections, and ask for some help with it. I see this topic get asked quite often and many times, somebody in the forum works at a dealership and is nice enough to offer to look it up themselves. You could even search for 'radio code' and perhaps find a thread where somebody has done this, and then PM them and ask.
