tranny question
alright i have a 82 z-28 with a 74 vette 350 in it, and i am wondering what kind of tranny i should put in. I have 2 tranny's for it and am not sure what is better. I have a saginaw four speed that came out of another camaro, and that needs a shifter, which will cost about 150. The second tranny that i have is a t-10 borg-warner 5spd, that one needs a clutch kit, which will also cost me around 150. So i am not sure what is better and they will both still cost about the same to get ready for the car...Any info is greatly appreciated.thanks

Re: tranny question
for the optimum use of power band, I'd go 5spd.

Re: tranny question
see i was thinking about using the 5spd for those same reasons, but then i always hear about people using 4spds for racing and such. I am not really going to be using the car for racing, but well once in a while nothing major, you know. so either way it will cost me the same, but i think i will go with the 5 spd then, especially with the way gas prices are these days. Thanks for the info.
