upgrades
I got a comp that has not been used in awhile, its about 6+yrs old. Im about to put it into use again but i want to throw some upgraded parts onto it memory, graphics, processor etc. anyone know any good kinds and where at to get em?

Not worth it at that age, the cpu socket the memory the video card interface they are all oudated and not compatible with new stuff.
If you want to revive it get something like a superstreamlined OS such as vector linux with fluxbox (or any other small gui - avoid KDE and gnome). this way you can get a modern usable desktop. Or relegate the comp to other uses such as a router using smoothwall or make it into a NAS.

I would put as much RAM in it as you can and a large (300gb?) drive and use it as a file server, as Neutrino suggested. You can setup services like FTP to access your files anywhere, or as a TS box to connect to your home network remotely.
