1992 bonneville ssei starts, stalls then wont start

here is what ive done so far...

1.) http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/kb.php?mode=article&k=33&highlight=coils I used this to check the coils... but i also picked up some used ones from a scrap yard and it didnt help.

2.) http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/kb.php?mode=article&k=57 (i had codes cleared and only the cam sensor stayed and that was changed)

3.) Changed the MAF as it was tampered with and I thought it was part of the problem.

4.) Then i checked the fuel pressure with a fuel pressure tester buy first hooking it up and just turning the key and letting the fuel pump prime. then i started it and let it run for a bit and seeing if it droped and it didnt. then i turned it off and left the pressure tester hooked up to see if it lost any pressure and it lost only 3or 4 psi in ten min.

5.) then used this write-up to check and replace the sensor (magnet was fine and in tacked)... http://6007.us/cammag.htm

Then I made this post lol hope this gives everyone an idea what ive done thus far. It starts ok and when it runs for a bit maybe like 5 or 10 min. it dies and wont start for a few hours... any help would be great thanks

I had the same issue on a 93 Bonneville, found a bad engine ground wire... Check Block to frame resistance if over 10 Ohms then run a new wire from engine to h frame. I have also heard of an intermittent ground at the coil pack.. wire was attached but crimp was only attached to 2 wires.

Lots of stuff but no diagnostics, do you have spark when it won't start, do you have injector pulse, will it start by spraying starting fluid into the intake?

it has spark and but i havent checked the injectors... would they do that though? why would they stop after they got warm?

Well get to it, also, again will it start with spray into the intake, if so a fuel delivery or injector pulse problem is the issue, if not, not enough spark, no spark or injector pulse possible crank sensor, or icm.

it starts fine and runs... but after you drive it for a bit or it heats up she dies and wont start for a few hours. sorry i should have said that.

Could be the torque convertor clutch solenoid,very common problem on GM's.

Not going to prevent the car from just starting.

could it be related to an alt. or battery maybe? seems that when it does run it runs good but then it dies and doesnt start until i charge the battery and let it sit for awile.

check system voltage, with car off, should be 12.6-13.2, while the car is running, should be 13.8 to 15.2.
