02 Tracker trailer lights

Do i need to put a converter on my 02 tracker 4 door for trailer lights and if so where is the best place to do this ,

you might be able to buy one at an auto parts store like pep boys. it may be a straight forward plug in. it also depends on how many lights such as if the directional lights are seperate from the brake lights.

Yes you will need a converter and there is a trailer harness in the tracker. Its located behind the left lower part of the trim on the wiring harness right below the speaker. Its a six wire harness containing everything youll need plus a constant hot wire from the stoplight fuse which is green. I just cut off that strange plug and connect it with crimp connectors, after the convertor you can run the harness through the door from where the tire changing tools are, or there is a hole below the left taillight if you want a more professional look.
