Re: 1997 geo tracker blows tail/dome fuse
I am having the exact same problem with my 97 tracker blowing fuses. However with mine, when the headlights are on, the left signal works fine but the right signal just stays on solid - no flashing and is stays lite on the dash indicator at all times. Then when the headlights are off the right signal flashes dim and slow until it stops, but ALL of the interior lights (dash, stereo EVERYTHING!) flashes even though all of these lights are off. Did you ever find out what your cause was? I just thought maybe you could give me a few ideas. Thanks for any help.

The headlight/dash problem sounds exactly like what my truck was doing, and I think the problem was relays.
I don't know how to test them, so I wiggled the connections, and cleaned them a few times, and the problem seems to have fixed itself... (?) For now.

Re: 1997 geo tracker blows tail/dome fuse
Yes I have done the "wire-wiggle" thing too and used the connection cleaner spray but didn't work. I'm wondering can a relay be "weak" and cause this? The reason I am wondering this is because everything works fine without the headlights but as soon as the headlights are on it acts up - too many lights on at once causing it to act up because it's weak??

Re: 1997 geo tracker blows tail/dome fuse
I think yes.
Mine won't go nuts until I raise the fan speed to high, then after a few minutes I hear a clicking and it's nutty again. At least it let's me shut it off, and start all over at low. So, I was thinking the same thing, that the load is too much for the relay. I figure it must be a bad ground that's causing too much of a current drain, then overheating the relay.
