[PICS] rear speaker replacement
Hello all, I have not been around here in almost over a year but I got something I would like to share with all of you. If my damn max didn't run so smooth I would probubly be around here more. Anyway, one of my rear speakers blew(correct term?) out and I recently got around to replacing it/them. I thought it was going to be an easy job but after I purchased a new set of 6.5's it turned out not to be that easy. My favorite site for information on installing headunits and shit is http://www.installdr.com but for some strange reason the maxima page was not working the day I put my speakers in so I went to maximadriver.com to get directions. There were no pictures, and growing up in a public schooling environment made things very difficult for me. Anyway, I tried my best and I have pictures to share, and if anyone wants to put them into a tutorial, go ahead.
here is what the factory speaker looked like in the 'non-bose' version of a '95 max. (the red highlight shows were the cone was tore up) |

AMP
Are these hooked to an amp? Because I have ruined 2 amps because my rears were grounded to the frame of the car.

I think that it will still ruin the outputs on your HU if your speakers are grounded(metal to metal contact).
