i have a 1990 holden commodore
driving along and all of a sudden it sounded like a harley? very excessive noise, like the muffler had fallen off, but it hasnt. still drivevable, but very loud?
dont know whats going on

Exhaust gasket is probably blown out but the VN's also are common for cracking the exhaust manifolds at the motor. Pray that it is an exhaust gasket.

Also check that you have not got any ignition leads fallen off
