Bought new 99 Reg. Cab...have questions.

I know this is long but if you have the time the advice is very appreciated. I have come across these forums online and there seems to be a great deal of information here so here I am with some questions for my new (well new to me) truck. About two weeks ago I bought a 99 Silverado Regular Cab LS 2wd fully loaded with the 4.8L V8 and only 68000 miles.(I will soon have some pictures of it) The truck inside and out is in immaculate condition and I get numerous people that are surprised by what year it is. But anyways, the truck came with a 45 day warranty that covers 100% parts and labor so I am going to bring it in to have him fix a few things that are bothering me but I just wanted to get an idea of what the problems could be. First off, the tranny has a little bit of a kick from 1st to 2nd gear. My dad's 03 does the same and several other people have the same little kick at some times from 1st to 2nd. Again, it only does it occasionally(it seems to be while turning and the truck shifts) but is it something that I should worry about? Secondly, I get a little bit of a virabtion in the steering wheel while cruising down the road and making small turns at little curves in the road. And this is only worsened while driving on the highway. Nothing huge at all but just enough that it bothers me. With this I would only assume we are looking at an allignment but at the same time the truck drives straight and doesnt veer left or right. Any other ideas? And finally, the one thing that really bugs me is the vibration feeling I get that worsens the faster I go. On the highway going around 60-70MPH it is only worsened but it also does happen going 45MPHish. And this also isn't a constant nonstop thing but it comes and goes as I am driving. It almost seems as if I am running over a series little bumps in the road. With this I thought maybe an unbalanced wheel or worn out shocks but the wheels are brand new(and supposedly balanced by dealership) and it does not happen at all times, but I cannot pinpoint what starts it. Any info would be great and I hope to continue to use this forum down the road. Thanks for reading all this.

Re: Bought new 99 Reg. Cab...have questions.

Th shiftting thing I would guess is normal, my 99 did this also. As for the steering vibration, the steering shaft may need replacing. There was either a recall or tech.bulletin about this somewhere. My fathers 04 does the same thing. As for the variable vibration, I'd make sure they re-balance the wheels/tires. One of your brake rotors could have lost a weight or something to that effect.

Ok, I'll keep that in mind when I bring it back to the dealership. Thanks for the help.
