Question New brakes

Hi guys. My brakes are squeeking and i think i need new ones.I have a few questions. Are ceramic brakes good for the TC or do you recomend something better? Is there a certain brand you guys can recomend? Are they eazy to install? If i change the rear brakes ,should i change the front ones too? I was thinking of doing it myself. Is it a pain in the a$$ to do? I have never changed brakes on a car,but i dont think its that hard.

Re: New brakes

I just changed my front brakes and rotors on friday, it was very simple. Make sure to pump your brakes 25 times before you start. You remove the tires, and there are two bolts 13mm holding the caliper on to the spindle. Remove those bolts and you can pull the caliper off the spindle. After removing the caliper, than you leave one pad on the piston in the caliper and take a c-clamp and and place it behind the caliper and the other side on the pad. Start turning the c-clamp until the piston retracts into the caliper. Now look at the two sliders (these are the two things that the 13mm bolts get screwed into) pull them out and look to make sure they are properly lubricated. Place the sliders back into the caliper, making sure that the covers on the sliders are properly in place. Take the new pads spray them down with antil seize. Place the pads into the bracket on the outside of the rotor. Place the caliper over the pads and rotor, lining it up with the sliders, and bolt on the 13mm bolts. Finally pump up the brakes again, until they get hard.

Re: New brakes

20 minutes a brake is a hour so it shouldn't take to long once you get the hang of it
