engine problem

i have a 2000 Expolorer XLT with the 4.0 SOHC and i just did a tune up on the motor and did plugs and wires and when i started the truck it runs for a couple of seconds and then stalls out it will run for up to like 30 seconds but never longer it only dies when i let it idle but if i give it gas it will run so let me knwo whats wrong with it all help and ideas are appreciated

Did you change the wires one at a time? If not could the firing order be off?

ive double and triple checked the plugs and wires the firing order is right

it runs like a charm when it does not rough or anything so it must be something else i think fuel in some way

If it just started after you did the tune up, I would think it has something to do with that. Maybe a hose or wire got unpluged or something. Does the check engine light come on?

virgamanda may be on to something. Look around to be sure there is not a sensor unplugged.

i dont know guys i checked all connectors and hoses in the engine compartment and no luck im really getting discouraged

i have run out of ideas of what could be wrong please let me know if you all have anymore

One of the plugs may be cracked, I dont know man, good luck.
