Question 1999 Regal GS Rear DS Window Falls

The rear, drivers-side power window is totally inoperative. It is apparently 'off the track', as it can be raised and lowered by hand. The normal state is down (not good on rainy days or when driving though the car wash!)

Two questions:
1. Is there a cable system used on these power windows?

2. Is this a driveway repair job, or will I have to take it to a dealer?

Thanks!

Re: 1999 Regal GS Rear DS Window Falls

Welcome to AF.

Yes, it is a Bowden cable system. All part of the power window regulator assembly.

Best thing to do is remove the door panel and perform an inspection. Repairs on it can be done DIY.
