Wax wheels?

Do you guys think it would work to wax your rims after you've cleaned them to help fight off the brake dust?

Re: Wax wheels?

If the rims are chrome and you can get them perfectly clean without anything left on them and then use a chrome polish and then a good coat of wax it will help with removal of the brake dust some. I used to have a set of 18" chrome rims on a truck I had everytime I washed and waxed the truck (about once a week) I would polish the rims and wax them and when I would go to wash it the next time all I had to do to get the brake dust off was use the nozzle and spray it off with my garden hose.
