my charge pipes.

i was wondering if 2" is big enough for my low budget boosted b16 project. i already have to 2" piping and dont want to pay more for the bigger stuff unless really needed. i plan on running it at 9 psi. daily on stock internals/ let me know if this is to small or if it will work ok or great thanks

Re: my charge pipes.

that should be fine. you don't want too big or it'll lag more.

Re: my charge pipes.

for daily use and stock internals its fine. Just make sure there arent to many tight bends in it. What type of BOV are you using?

Re: my charge pipes.

Yeah isnt your outlet 2" anyway? It would be pointless to go bigger, and 9 PSI sounds like an ok range..wouldnt go any more, and be careful with spikes.

Re: my charge pipes.

1st gen bov are good for up to 20psi without leaking unlike the 2nd gen which leak at 12psi. What they do to the first one being that stock its a great bov when u run high boost they crush it and it holds more pressure. all u do is litterly crush it, like stick it in between 2 pieces of wood in a vice and use a vacuum guage what u do is crush it till the bov starts to open at higher boost jus cant crush it too much.

Re: my charge pipes.

i would advise against crushing it though. If you need something to hold more boost greddy bov's are the way to go.

Re: my charge pipes.

nothing wrong with crushing a dsm bov, and since hes only running low boost it'll be fine.

Re: my charge pipes.

dont know what ic means but i am going for just a budget turbo b16 that can run 13s on the weekends when the boost is turned up. otherwise just a daily driver turbo b16 set at low boost. and if this helps my turbo is a t3/t4 to4e

Re: my charge pipes.

IC = Intercooler. Have you got one yet, they mount on the front and have an inlet and outlet. You have to make sure the inlet and outlet opennings of your intercooler are also 2" if your gonna run that size piping.
