Re: Changing 00' Voyager air filter

The air filter resides in the air filter box, located on the upper left side of the engine compartment if you are standing in the front of the car looking toward the rear.
Using a socket, remove the 2 housing bolts. The top bolt is located on the upper edge just above the small vacuum line and just to the right of the top right corner of the highest point of the raised cover. The lower bolt is located just below the lower small hose that connects to the air filter box. You should be able to lift the cover from the right side upward. (My description from looking at the pictures)

Lift out the filter.
Clean the inside of the housing with a rag being careful not to drop anything down the intake.
Place the new air filter from the housing and install the cover. Be sure to tighten hose clamps that were loosened or removed. (From the written instructions)

That is a partial description of the photographs and the written instructions from the Chilton Manual for Caravan, Voyager, T&C 1996-2002. I have a 99 Caravan which is different and harder to replace the air filter on. I am giving you what was in the manual in hopes that it is accurate and that yours is actually like what is pictured. Hopefully someone who has an 00 will pipe up and correct any inaccuracies I may have generated. It's kinda hard describing the photo. I hope this helps, however it wouldn't be the first time a manual was wrong. I have a Haynes but it is only for 1996-1999 so is useless for this discussion. If you are planing to do your own work I would suggest the factory shop manual. It's pricey...but you can skip both the Haynes and Chilton's which aren't complete and together are about 1/2 the factory shop manual price. They are sometimes inaccurate, too.

Re: Changing 00' Voyager air filter

Is it a "new" or "old" 2000 ? If it is a new one it should have a round power steering fluid container. The older models have a rectangular one on the left hand side. If you have an older model you are probably looking at the resonator.
