Unhappy 4X4 will not work and have a !@#$@! P0452 Error

Hello Gentlemen, hope you can offer some advice on this issue.

Hear is the history of problem leading up to this issue. Last year, wife towed jeep from Omaha to Denver. Before leaving to return, vehicle developed a hissing scrapping o noise like a dry bearing. Took to tranny shop where instead of checking lubricant, they replaced transfer case and stuck her with a $1800 bill. Anyway, when she returned and when it snowed, we needed the 4X4 which unfortunately did not work. I looked here on the AF and found a # of possibilities. I checked the diaphram and hose under the battery by manually siphoned the hose and the diaphram worked and held the vacum. I checked fuses and finally at the advice of the forum and a local tranny shop, replaced the actuator on the tranfer case ($180.00). Then I checked it again. 4X4 was intermittently working (as before). Would go into 4 hi but kick out of gear at about 30-35 MPH. Now the light just flashes and no response with the 4X4 actuator. Also, after I replaced the actuator, I developed a TPS error and a EVAP P0452 error. I removed the TPS and measured the range. Lower limit read approx .836 ohms and upper end read approx 3.6. Seemed to be linear but I replaced it anyway with a TPS that I purchased from Autozone. Incidently, the new TPS read approx .836 to 5.86 and was linear. Didn't seem at first that it would clear the fault but to my surprise, it did. Now I also have @#%^%$#! P0452 EVAP fault. It is funny (odd definitly not ha ha funny) that all these appeared when I replaced the tranfer case 4X4 actuator. I raised the vehicle up and double triple checked my connections. I pulled the canister and checked for water...no water......Could not get to tank sensor so could not check it. Replaced gas cap with new one.....nothing. Checked all fues..... nothing. Checked with ACTRON and found the error shows up on two occasions. Attempted to erase........unsuccessful. Could erase one but not both. The vehicle has really shitty gas mileage, and misfires. Oh and by the way......4X4 still does not work......could the transfer case that was replaced in Denver be causing the 4X4 issue? any insight that any of you great wise men can offer would be most appreciated.

Jack2sam,

I might be missing something, but I don't see any vehicle info (other than Jeep) mentioned.

For us to help you we'll really have to know what you have. Could you please tell us? Thanks

Your best bet may to be to find a good repair shop on this one.
You may have more than one issue or they may be all tyed together.
No offense .
But it sounds like you are going to need professional help on it.
Some tips on finding a good repair shop.
Good luck MT.
Check around Ask around
Word of mouth.
Family friends coworkers neighbors business people and delivery people.
Mailmen and parcel delivery people get around and notice a lot of stuff.
Even a good parts house knows what shops are good and not good.
Chamber of commerce and better business bureau and city hall.
If you find a good referral to a repair shop go look them over and talk to them.
Look for a clean looking busy place with nice people running it.
Ask a few questions and ask about their qualifications and training.
Not all places have trained tech/mechanics.
If they do not find a place that does.
Even all dealers do not have all trained techs/mechanics.
