Post Need Help with Rotor Replacement!!

It's the front right tire on my 93 Honda accord. I have the tire off the caliper off and the 4 bolts off that hold the rotor on. I took off the big bult in the middle But the thing in front of the rotor wont come off so the rotor cant come off. I thimk that the thing in the middle is part os the attached to the hub assembly but im not sure. This isn't the actual photo but its close. Please help!

Re: Need Help with Rotor Replacement!!

As far as I know you need to remove the axle nut for this. Easiest way to do it is to break loose a castle nut while the car is still on the ground with somebody pushing on the brake pedal (to keep it from moving). Otherwise you may damage your transmission.

actually, some correction here. this is a coventional rotor over hub design.

you do not need to remove the 32mm axle nut or the castle nut on the joints do not need to come off.

looking from the picture, remove the caliper bolts (14 or 17mm) and use this

for the rotor screws and your rotors are out. installation is of reversal.
