93 Caravan has spark/no start
Hiya-
My trusty 93 caravan can smell a paycheck... I ran it until it had drops of fuel in the tank and it wouldn't start this morning, so I rode to the gas station and added a gallon to the tank. Cranks fine, has spark, has gasoline but will not start (so far). Does this mean bad fuel pump? What are the symptoms for a bad fuel pump? Temp gauge is okay-- warms up with car and sits just below half... engine turns over so is not frozen due to oil leak... Any suggestions? Thank you -Hailley |

Re: 93 Caravan has spark/no start
The way you are talking, you already know you need a new fuel pump.
Your not supposed to let fuel pumps in gas tank run dry. Whack the bottom of the gas tank with a rubber mallet. |

Re: 93 Caravan has spark/no start
Thanks, Bernie-
The fuel pump has proven to be just a tick more resilient-- after the car sat in the sun for a while, it started. (= |
