Complete: Williams FW13B - Riccardo Patrese - 1990

Hi everyone,

Thought that is was about time that I put some images up of the first model that I made (Winter 04/05). The model was completed whilst I was blissfully unaware what primer, PE, CF decals and reference pictures were. All completed with a brush, by hand. Hope you like it.

All the best,
BillyPee

Looks good for your 1st model.I really like the Williams in this colour combination and prefer it more than later blue and white. My favourite is the Nigel Mansell one think it was the FW14?

Thanks for the feedback Steve.

You are right, the car most associated with Mansell is the FW14. It was the FW14B that he won the World Championship with in 92. However, he drove a number of Williams cars, like the FW11 from 1986 that I did for my third model.

Kind regards,
BillyPee

Just thinking, it would be cool to do the FW24 in the yellow/blue/white livery just to see what it would look like if the sponsors had stayed the same.

Well, not quite Shunter. For you see, the white bits are actually unpainted. I realised (quite rightly) that I could not get a finished anywhere near as nice as the bare plastic :-)

Thanks,
BillyPee
