i have a 2005 monte carlo,just installed a grannatelli mass air flow sensor.(non cold air) car ran fine for about 20 min then my check engine light came on!disconnected battery to reset computer then half of my radio lights went out when reconnected battery,plus maf sensor makin car idle pretty ruff!!!any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanx

Disconnecting the battery doesn't erase the codes like it used to. You need a scan tool to do it. If the theftlock function of the radio was enabled, you may need to enter the code to get your radio display back.

thanx for your response.i reconnected the battery this morning and took the car for a ride on the streets for about 20 min then on the express way for about 1/2 hour .car seem to be running ok now,but my radio still has half of the lights out!!!!o well.i"ll definetly post another thread if i have any more problems,which i"m sure i will when i install my jet module later this week.thanx again |
